Freakshow (A Novel)

Freakshow is an upcoming paranormal drama I have been working on December 2016. It is about a young man who has the power of psychokinesis and is unable to control it, while struggling with the acceptance of his peers and being different. But with the help of a group of unique individuals who are part of a "peculiar people" show, he discovers their isn't anything wrong with being different.

Ian was different - well, that's what he was always told. Born with the uncontrollable power of psychokinesis, Ian never found it easy to fit in - his "gift" always seemed to get in the way. He unintentionally hurt people, usually being taken over by his power when under stress or when he was angry. Tired of dealing with the pain his power had caused, Ian decides to take matters into his own hands. He is saved by a gang of outcasts before doing so, who are part of a showcase run by a man they call Mister Larrabee. With his new found friends, Ian begins to feel like less of an outsider. But when dark secrets are revealed involving the show runner, Ian is left with a tough decision that could end deadly.

The idea for Freakshow came to me back in 2013, when the story wasn't really developing yet. It wasn't until recently [December 2016] that the plot and story began to develope during some time I was spending at a cafe while brainstorming. As I try to do in all of my writing, I share some experiences and try to reach people through the stories message. Freakshow is nearing completion and will be my second novel, with an expected release to be sometime in the summer of 2018.
